Years 4 & 5
There are IGCSE courses.
The Core Curriculum is currently English, Mathematics, and a Classical Subject. In addition, students also select up to seven optional subjects for IGCSE, choosing from the list as above. Students entering at Year 4 will be given as much flexibility as possible. Economics and Business Studies are also offered in Year 4, as is Classical Civilisation, for those not studying Latin or Greek.
Lower 6th & Upper 6th
Students in these years are prepared for GCE AS and A2 or Advanced Level Examinations. The degree of difficulty of Advanced Level means that normally only 4 subjects are taken, chosen as carefully as possible to equip students for further study. Most subjects available at IGCSE can be taken to AS and A2 Level. Law has recently been introduced at AS Level.
