THE COURAGE TO START AGAIN

“Every ending carries within it the seed of a new beginning. The question is: Do we have the courage to plant it?”

Over the past years, I have reflected deeply on resilience, trust, and the silent strengths it takes to rise after moments of uncertainty, betrayal, or self-doubt. Life and leadership have a way of testing our resolve in ways we often don’t anticipate. Sometimes, these tests come as abrupt endings, other times, as quiet realizations. But with every ending comes an invitation to rise, to reflect, and most importantly, to begin again. And yet, it’s often the very first step that feels heaviest.

I have had moments in my own life when I had to start again. Moments when things did not go as I had hoped, when people I trusted disappointed me, or when I had to accept that something I had invested in had come to an end. In those moments, I learnt that starting again does not mean that you have failed. Sometimes, it simply means that you have grown enough to know that you cannot remain where you are.

I want you to remember this: one difficult moment does not define your entire story. A poor result does not define your ability. A mistake does not define your character. A disappointment does not define your future.

There will be moments when you will question yourself. You may feel that you have lost your direction or that starting again is too difficult. I have been there too. What I have learnt is that you do not always need to see the whole journey. Sometimes, you simply need the courage to take the next step. So, when life gives you a reason to stop, find a reason to begin again. Your next chapter may be better than the one you thought you had lost.
