The Founder’s vision was to build a school modelled on an English Grammar School that would “educate the whole child.” This remains central at Kamuzu Academy, where students are expected to excel academically while developing as well-rounded individuals.
We place sport, music, drama, and a wide range of extra-curricular activities at the heart of our curriculum, just as our Founder envisioned.
Our aim is to produce students who have enjoyed a balanced education inside and outside the classroom, leaving the Academy with outstanding character as well as strong examination results.
We strive to create a safe and nurturing environment in which each student can find the courage to achieve their best and take their place as one of the future leaders of Malawi.
