The Founder’s Vision was to build a school which was modelled on an English Grammar School, which would “Educate the whole child”. This is a very important aspect of education at Kamuzu Academy, where students are not only expected to gain outstanding examination results in their academic subjects.

We also place sport, music, drama and a wide range of extra-curricular activities at the heart of our curriculum, just as our Founder envisioned.

Our aim is to produce students who have enjoyed a well-rounded education both within and outside the classroom and who leave the Academy having developed outstanding character, as well as having achieved outstanding examination grades.

We aim to create a safe and nurturing environment in which each student can find the courage to achieve their best and take their place as one of the Future Leaders of Malawi.
